1/21/21 moab !!!

woke up on MARS yesterday. we arrived in moab during the nighttime so we couldn’t see any of the insane red canyons around us until the sun rose over them in the morning. so nuts to finally see these massive structures in real life 🪐 went for a morning run and found some beautiful calcite, which we mounted to the dashboard this morning for some good vibes

after a morning chem class taken in the mcdonald’s parking lot ( free wifi ) we made our way into arches national park, which made us feel even further away from earth. red arches and columns clashed with the la sal mountain backdrop, creating a mesmerizing scene.

we explored the park for the day and met rock climbers during sunset who set up a top route for us in return for some epic climbing pictures, noodles, and a can of propane. dirtbag trading at its finest 🐛 our first time climbing outdoors was beyond epic at owl rock with a gorgeous sunset to end the day

once night fell in the park, we set out to skyline arch to make a FIRE soup&salad dinner while we waited for the night sky to grow darker. once it became dark enough, we put on our head lamps and ventured down a short trail to get some star photos 💫

woke up this morning in the park for sunrise, then spent the rest of the day hiking and exploring the rest of the park!! very very lovely hikes and good energy rocks for some meditation🦋 before our chem lab at night !!
