1/23/21 canyonlands NP

school with a view.. woke up in the edge of a canyon friday morning !! did some yoga, made oatmeal, and did our chem class as we attempted to stay warm in the windy weather❄️

after class, we drove into canyonlands national park, where we did the insane sincline loop trail that led down into the bottom of a canyon and back up. the trail contained many crazy scrambles and some epic views. it was a bit hard to follow at points, but little rock towers guided us in the right direction. we finished the hike atop a lookout right as the sun was setting ✨ magical✨

we ended up spending the night right in the park at a campground where we made an amazing dinner of spinach, beans, peas, tortilla chips, avacado, and of course hot sauce and spices along with some herbal tea 🧞‍♀️

tried to wake up for sunrise the next morning, but we slept through the alarm. rest was much needed though!! then we headed off and explored more of canyonlands‘ unbelievable views and hiked a bit more.

as we headed back towards moab, we decided to take susie (the subaru) for a little off-road adventure up to some natural bridges. some sketchy mountain driving resulted in breathtaking views and lots of adrenaline🌿 oh and cows !!

after surviving the drive we treated ourselves to $7 showers, some fresh sale produce, and a trip to the laundromat. sadly missed out on a fire spinning show, but made friends with stormy the dog 🐒 what more could anyone need in life ? headed to capitol reef next🐛
