1/27/21 meandering through utah (and part of arizona)

hello to all the lovely people reading this!! we have spent the past couple days wandering seemingly aimlessly through utah. after leaving capitol reef we drove through a winter storm to a small little trail head for a canyon where we spent the night. yesterday we woke up & explored a pretty dope slot canyon after trekking through a snowy path.

after this adventure, we made our way down route 95 through the larger-than-life red mountains of utah. this was a super scenic drive.. definitely would recommend to anyone exploring utah. crossed the colorado river and spent some time practicing yoga in glen canyon NRA🐛 very peaceful time spent in a beautiful place.

changed plans about a thousand times before making our way down the steep switch backs that led us out of the mountains. ended up spending the night at goosenecks state park on the edge of a cliff. the moon was very full and the ground was covered with snow, so we were able to see the river bend during the nighttime. made some amazing soup before hitting da hay. woke up to an even more insane view as the sun illuminated the river 🍄 then we drove into a close town to attend chemistry class 🤓

the rest of the day has been spent attempting to go to the grand canyon only to find out that the road in was closed, then trying to camp by lake powell before deciding to just drive up the mountain to bryce national park for the night. on this journey we did get to see some pretty dope stuff, such as monument valley and horseshoe bend in arizona. classic. fell even more in love with navajo people as i read a newspaper from their grocery store about their spiritual beliefs 🐒 important to remember where we came from... mother earth and father sky 🦋 now we are cozied up in bryce canyon awaiting the cold night to set upon us.
